Technology much?!

So typing on that ipod yesterday was a bit of a challenge. I found myself pushing the wrong button alot. I have never used an ipod that has internet on it before. It was really fun! It's crazy how one piece of technology can do almost anything. If it was an Iphone it would do everything! I think technology is fun, but i don't like how much of a reliance it is becoming.

Yes I have a cellphone, and yes I love it. However I could live without it. I don't constantly text people or check it every ten minutes. In class I find myself looking at it alot, but thats because it is where my pencils are and stuff. If my whole social life didn't depend on it I wouldn't even need one. I hate having real conversations by texting. I feel like it doens't mean anything. I hate when you're hanging out with someone and they don't even pay attention to you, just their phone. I have a low tolerance for that.

I don't think texting in class is a big deal though. I mean if they are having a conversation by talking or if it keeps going off that could be a problem. But if people are simply texting I don't think there is a problem with that. I think it is the students choice if they want to get a good grade or not. Plus, somtimes you are in a fight with one of your friends and you can't focus until its all figured out so you have to text in class to resolve your problems.

I love the concept of MP3 players and Ipods. I really want an i touch and I would buy one EXCEPT.. all my songs are on Windows Media Player. There is a way to get them all on itunes but it would take SO long because you have to do it all individually. I wish i pods would work with Windows Media Player but they don't. I also other wish that having a music player that isn't an ipod wasn't lame. They are cheeper and they play music just as well, but no.

My mom is getting a laptop soon. I think they are cool, and they would be convienent, but I like having a real computer. I decided I will get one when I go off to college. It is one of those things that you just want and don't REALLY need. Like how movies are all fancy and cool now. Yeah they are cool, but it isn't needed that they are clearer then real tV.

In the end I like technology. I think some of it is unneeded, but not always. It just can't get out of hand. Then it will be annoying. Soon there will be robots running around the world like in Futurama.
